From June 7-9, 2011, Geographic Solutions held their 8th Annual Workforce Technology Conference, a platform that showcases cutting-edge technology with solutions to enhance workforce programs nationwide. The conference gives workforce development professionals, administrators, case managers and labor market specialists to experience new applications designed to improve performance, increase services, and streamline their workload. And just as important, the conference allowed representatives from state and local agencies the chance to interact and exchange best practices.
This year, Geographic Solutions welcomed over 100 workforce professionals, economic developers, unemployment professionals, and guest speakers from across the nation and Europe to Monterey, California. Attendees enjoyed informative sessions by keynote speakers and participated in discussion groups covering relevant topics such as cutting-edge case management tools, Washington D.C. updates; Virtual OneStop®, Virtual LMI and DataLoader updates, Geographic Solutions Unemployment System (GUS), Geographic Solutions Re-Employment Exchange (REX), WID updates, Green Jobs, LMI delivery, and reporting.
Attendees also sat in on live demonstrations with the latest Virtual OneStop®, Virtual LMI, Geographic Solutions Unemployment System (GUS), Geographic Solutions Re-Employment Exchange (REX), and America’s Labor Market Analyzer (ALMA) functionality, and had the opportunity to partake in a full day of optional system training.
The Geographic Solutions Annual Conference gives workforce agencies the tools to be better equipped in enhancing service delivery to clientele, while at the same time giving them access to reporting methods that would make ANY case manager’s life significantly easier. The Workforce Technology Conference is the perfect open forum to interact with workforce professionals and guest speakers, as well as share best practices.
